The project "Multiversal Island Flair" was created for the traditional work show of the final year of the master degree program Media, Communication, Sound and Interaction Design.
The concept was strongly influenced by the show's motto - "Multiversal Limbo Lab". This means that we, as designers are always in a kind of limbo between different worlds. Between analogue and digital, idea and realization, objective and subjective reality, our own imagination and the influence of others. Likewise, like in a laboratory, experimentation is an essential part of our work. As a student at the FH Joanneum, you have the space to try things out and create your own experiments and creations.
In this project, the focus is on diving into digital universes in low poly style. Three individually designed floating islands were created in 360° video format, which finds their connection to each other through the imagination of the creator but also of the viewer and through small, moving details. Each island can be seen as a separate, co-existing universe part of a large fantasy world.
